130 Things About Me…

After reading Jessica’s post of 130 things about her, I decided to sit back and try to think whether I could come up with a similar list.  It’s not easy!  There are the obvious ones that stand out, and maybe a few that I’ve debated whether I should include (as I’m sure she must have) … but to come up with 130?  Well now… that’s gonna take some effort!

[That’s as far as I got with the post.  It’s been sitting in my draft folder for 3 months, until Erin posted her list of 130.  That made me start to think about completing this post.]

So here it is… drum roll please…

  1. I’m 5’10” and a half  (I always stress that extra “and a half”)
  2. I weigh 220 lbs, and I’m not happy about it. <- Too bad that changed for the worse!!
  3. I was in the Communication Reserve for 10 years.
  4. I started shaving my head when my hair started to thin on top.
  5. I have 2 awesome children, a boy and a girl.
  6. I pay the mortgage for a house I do not live in.  Finally signed the house over to my ex!
  7. I’ve been told that I have a dry sense of humour.
  8. I listen to music constantly, to the point of it annoying some people.
  9. I think I’m a good cook.
  10. I thank my mother for that, and having the patience to answer my questions when I call.
  11. I spend far too much time in front of a computer.
  12. That time spent online contributed directly to the failure of my marriage.
  13. From start to finish, my Bachelor of Business Administration degree took 19 years to complete.
  14. I can not swim, even a little bit.
  15. The only trophy I own is for Grade 6 chess champion.
  16. I am a Dreamer.
  17. I’m afraid of heights.
  18. My favourite season is fall.
  19. I am attracted to women with nice eyes.
  20. I have no use for Religion.
  21. I have prayed to God.  (shocking, I know)
  22. I avoid mirrors.
  23. I’ve worked in the USA, and doubt I will ever step foot there again.
  24. I’m not good with puzzles.
  25. I recently had a vasectomy that did not go as smoothly as I had hoped.
  26. I believe in Love at first sight.
  27. I know that I write well, but still enjoy being complimented on it.
  28. I believe that it’s important for every citizen to exercise their right to vote in a democracy.
  29. I have high blood pressure.
  30. I want to lose weight, but do nothing about it.
  31. I have thrown a live grenade.
  32. I have a problem with trying to keep everyone happy.
  33. I have seen a psychiatrist and psychologist.
  34. I love hoodies.
  35. I drive a standard.  (although some think not very well)
  36. I like pineapple on my pizza.
  37. I love slow songs.
  38. I have a hard time letting go.
  39. Proper spelling and grammar is very important to me.
  40. I have often considered what my funeral might look like.
  41. I dislike the spotlight.
  42. One of my favourite movies is Definitely, Maybe.
  43. I believe that addictions can be real, and not merely excuses.
  44. I’ve worn a hat for as long as I can remember.
  45. I hate the taste of beer.
  46. I hate the taste of coffee.
  47. I love the taste of Coca Cola.
  48. My name is listed in the official credits of the online game EverQuest.
  49. I believe strongly in “Life’s little things”.
  50. I am very quiet, especially in a group of people I do not know well.
  51. One on one, I can be playful, loving, and witty.
  52. I look horrible in orange.
  53. I am very laid back (some call it lazy)
  54. I believe in a woman’s right to choose.
  55. I am more of a cat person than a dog person.
  56. I take an SSRI (Zoloft) daily to help with some of my issues.
  57. I have a peculiar sense of what embarrasses me and what does not.
  58. I am horrible with graphics of any sort.
  59. I did better in Home Economics than I did in Shop Class.
  60. I can not skate, but enjoy watching hockey.
  61. I hate cameras with a passion.
  62. I am rebuilding my credit rating.
  63. I enjoy sex.
  64. I find it easy to make friends online.
  65. A disproportionate number of those friends tend to be female.
  66. I love to read other people’s blogs.
  67. I prefer Twitter over Facebook.
  68. I find it extremely difficult to speak in front of a crowd, even if they are not strangers.
  69. I name each of my turkeys that I cook. (thanks for the tradition, Mum!)
  70. I am looking to move to a life-style that is supported by online businesses.
  71. My alcoholic drink of choice is Captain Morgan Dark Deluxe rum and Coke.
  72. I can tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi.
  73. Growing old scares the hell out of me.
  74. I wish that I read more for enjoyment.
  75. I hate waiting in lines.
  76. I maintain certain blogs that few people know about.
  77. I once placed an egg in the microwave to see if it would explode.  It did.
  78. I love the rain.
  79. I can put my arms behind my back and place my hands flat together.
  80. I was much more outgoing as a child than as a teenager and older.
  81. I originally wanted to be an optometrist but let my marks slide in my final year of high school.
  82. I have had my heart broken, and broken more than one myself.
  83. I check the logs of my sites way too much to see if people are reading.
  84. I’ve been accused (rightfully) of being a drama queen when it comes to my romantic woes.
  85. I want to see the Niagara Falls. Mission accomplished!  Whohoo!  May 20/11
  86. I’d like to visit every province and territory in Canada at least once before I die.
  87. I would love to publish a book some day.
  88. I’m not a big fan of most seafood, and struggle to make it part of my diet.
  89. I have not always been faithful.
  90. I do not have cable. I download all my TV shows and movies.
  91. I absolutely love my iPhone, and am rarely without it.
  92. I am extremely thankful for my family and friends.
  93. I am pee shy.
  94. I’ve been told that I’m a good kisser.
  95. I tend to over-think things.
  96. I am classic passive-aggressive.  I rarely speak up at the time, and let it fester within me.
  97. I believe that physical contact (of all types) is very important in a healthy, loving relationship.
  98. I can not dance.
  99. I can not sing, but there are a couple of exemptions where I will foolishly attempt to.
  100. I usually try to avoid confrontation at all costs.
  101. I do not like getting water in my face.
  102. I usually tear up in sad movies, but try to hide it.
  103. My passwords are derivatives of previous love interests.
  104. I hate shaving my face because I never know whether it is going to break out or not.
  105. I have flat feet.  (and now I have custom orthotics… like walking on rocks! Sep 21/11)
  106. I have only truly hated one person in my life.
  107. I am afraid of failing.
  108. I’m a breast man.  Size doesn’t matter.  I love them all.
  109. I took a single puff from a cigarette that I picked off the ground in grade 5, and have never touched them since.
  110. My feelings are easily hurt.
  111. I often fail to follow my own advice, even when I believe it to be right.
  112. I tend to count stairs as I walk them.
  113. I often have many projects on the go in various states of completion.
  114. I’m a nighthawk.
  115. I’m a Gleek.
  116. I am attracted to women of all ethnicities.
  117. I am proud of my gravy.
  118. I was in French immersion.
  119. I get uncomfortable when complimented (other than my writing).
  120. I play poker for fun, not expecting to win.
  121. I love to snuggle.
  122. I have drunk emailed / texted more times than I care to admit.
  123. I am very protective of past relationships, and will break my passive-aggressive tendencies to defend them.
  124. I enjoy sending greeting cards to people.
  125. I pay attention to detail when planning a special surprise for someone.
  126. I do not like horror movies.
  127. I want to leave a legacy my children can be proud of.
  128. I believe that I will fall in Love again.
  129. Until that happens, I need to focus my energies on bettering myself.
