Everyone knows that a Leap Year occurs every 4 years when an extra day is added in February to correct the natural “drifting apart” of the calendar and the Earth’s seasons. Without it we would eventually have winter in July – not a pleasant thought. But did you know that NOT every calendar year divisible by 4 is a Leap Year?
So you’d think that someone who cut the cord at home probably wouldn’t be watching too much television. Well you’d be wrong. It’s not nearly as convenient as it was, but I don’t really feel like I’m going without. Everything gets downloaded elsewhere and then transferred to the servers at home. My daughter still gets her Doctor Who. My son still gets his Clone Wars. And me? What am I watching nowadays?
It’s been a few years since I’ve spent a Valantine’s Day alone. I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of that but it’s not the worst feeling in the world. I’ll reserve that for the day no one comes to my funeral. Yup… THAT would probably suck more than being alone on February 14.
Unless the funeral was on Valentine’s Day. Then that would just be Karma giving me a swift kick in the nuts.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all the Lovers out there!
Well it’s been an entire week without internet at the home, and so far things have gone pretty much as expected. My data plan on my iPhone is maxed out, my kids are bored to tears, and I’ve started talking to the dogs like they are real people. It’s a little loony.
