I’ve discovered something. I do NOT like driving in big cities! Last night we got into Montreal. Today we made it to Barrie. It’s a good thing Karen was driving because I would have turned around well before this. With multiple lanes of traffic and cars zooming in and out, all I wanted to do was curl up in the fetal position and wait for one of the large transport trucks to blow a tire and fall over on me. I have no idea how people can drive like that everyday! Thankfully Karen is used to it and managed to get us here in one piece, despite a GPS that lead us astray. (stupid non-updated maps)
So we’re at a resort outside of Barrie, Ontario. I wish I could remember the name of it. Carriage Hills Resort. (or so it says on the card) I’ve never stayed in a resort before. The place is great but I think I had something else in mind. Where are the beaches? The palm trees? The women of Baywatch?
Tomorrow we start exploring Toronto. I think we’re going to the Royal Ontario Museum. One thing… The weather forecast is horrible! Rain every day for the next week. Sucks. But there’s nothing we can do about it.
Oh, and I broke my iPhone the day before we left so I can’t tweet or check into foursquare which is disappointing. Would have been nice to be able to share things on the fly. Now I have to wait until I get back to the room and type up something on my iPad. Functional but not the most efficient way of doing things.
