I didn’t even get up until around 1pm, so a good chunk of the day was over already. No, not being lazy… I work tonight, so I was trying to sleep in as long as I possibly could. Generally it’s a little later than that, though.. so it might be an interesting night to try and stay awake.
So today is the first day of the challenge… Might as well just jump right into it. I fired up the grill, and put on a couple of hamburgers and honey garlic sausages. Sure, it’s not a salad, but it could be much worse. I even turned down the glass of Coke that was offered to me, having milk instead. I only had one of the hamburgers, and opted to bring the other into work tonight. That’s my supper. Night shifts can be horrible for trying to stay “good” because the munchies usually start to kick in as soon as I get here (hello boredom!) and last for the next 12 hours. A McDonalds drive-thru run at 3am is not out of the norm.
But not this month!
So I’ve been sitting here, wondering when to heat up that burger. I also have an Aquafina Wild Berry water with me, and have been drinking regular water from the big jugs they supply us with. Oh, and I brought in 4 varieties of yogurt. Yup.. I’m prepared! I hope.
I even munched on a couple of raw carrots that were offered to me by my co-worker. I love cooked carrots, but I’ve never been much of a fan of raw ones… even with ranch dressing. But I shocked him by actually accepting a couple of them.. AND turning down the suggestion of cooking chicken wings tomorrow night.
I had wanted to get on the treadmill this afternoon, but I was too rushed trying to get everything ready before I came into work.
I also planned on stepping onto the scale to get an “official” weigh-in, but forgot. I’ll try to remember to do that tomorrow. Not that my weight will dramatically drop in a month’s time (if it even budges at all) but at least I’ll know where I stand. I have a pretty good idea, but it’s time to make it official.
