- Bon Jovi
After seeing U2 in Moncton this summer, I figured that my major concert days were over. I’ve seen Phil Collin, Genesis, and U2… those were the three biggies that I needed to see before I died. Throw in Bon Jovi in Moncton back in 2009, which actually turned out to be more enjoyable than some of the “must see” ones… and well… I think that I’ve seen my fair share. It would take something special to get me to go back there with all those people.
And then I saw this… Notice July 20, 2012…
It’s totally unconfirmed at this point, but the website DrownedMadonna.com seems to have an inside track on these things, so it’s not just random speculation.
So is the Material Girl enough to send me back into that mudfest called Magnetic Hill? I don’t know for sure… but it’s certainly intriguing… I’ll be curious to see what kind of announcement is made October 31.
One thing is for certain… Moncton’s Magnetic Hill has definitely established itself as a premiere concert venue!
It’s taken me this long to be able to gather all of my thoughts together regarding the concert. Wow. What a great time! Perfect weather. You couldn’t ask for better weather. The rain held off, it wasn’t hot, it wasn’t cold. We walked to the concert, which was a bit of an adventure itself. The crowd was completely managable. Supposedly there were over 30,000 people there, but I sure didn’t feel like I was fighting for room to move around.
As far as the show itself… wow… That band can play! That man can sing! Everything from the 80s, 90s, and today. They played for a solid two hours, and even got into some stuff that wasn’t theirs but might as well have been. I was a little nervous when they finished up without playing “Living on a Prayer”, but they came back with it as the final shout-out in their encore. The place went nuts.
Definitely an experience!
